I bring my 2010 Equinox to the dealer every six months typically after 1000 miles for an oil change, multi-point inspection and tire rotation. It doesn't get driven much. This time it needed major brake work. The front brake pads were totally worn away. So much so that the ABS and stability control components were damaged and also needed replacing. I would like to know why when a multi-point inspection was performed six months earlier I was not advised that the brakes would be down to nothing in 1000 miles and tehy would be so far gone they would damage the ABS and stability control? In February 2022 I was advised the exhaust manifold was cracked and leaking. I had it replaced at an independent garage. On this visit Mall Chevrolet advised me again that I had an exhaust manifold leak. I took it back to the independent garage because the work had a two year warranty. They looked at it and insisted there was no leak. How could this possibly be?
