My check engine light came on so I took it to get serviced to be sure nothing unsafe was happening. I knew that I didnāt have the funds to pay for anything so I made it clear by phone and in person to the two guys at the desk NOT to do any work until they spoke to me. When scheduling, I informed the call taker that my number should be the main number on the account & my fiancĆ© was secondary. It was apparently corrected. I was told that the only thing not covered under warranty was if a squirrel chewed through wiring. The next day my fiancĆ© received a call saying that a rodent coincidently chewed through wires & it would cost close to $600. My fiance knows that we didnāt have the funds and told them he would talk to me about the price. Iām 100% certain he did NOT authorize work to be done because we both knew no funds were available. The goal was to be sure it was safe to drive until I could pay for repairs. I was busy at work so I couldnāt call them right away. Before I could call them they called my fiance back telling him the work was done and that it was ready. I finally was able to call and told them I didnāt authorize repairs. I was then told with a complete attitude that my fiancĆ©e authorized the work. He told them he would call me to see what I wanted to do which he did right after they got off the phone. He would not authorize them to repair the car. He even told them he couldnāt because its not under his name. I was told āI guess you get the work done for free thenā & something along the lines of being my lucky day. I felt like he was trying to say I pulled a fast one. When I got there to pick up the car the guy on the 2nd desk kept being sarcastic. The one in the front who is usually very nice gave us a dirty look and would not make ANY eye contact after. I was trying to explain to them that I didnāt do anything wrong. He didnāt want to hear anything I had to say. I was completely misjudged as if I was scamming the company for free work. That is NOT in my character. Instead of simply owning his mistake, he chose to treat me like I was being sneaky. I just want to clarify that I did not scam anyone. We did not lie about anything. An employee made a mistake and refused to own it. That was it! He gave me the clip board and after I signed he snatched it back. It was cold but I still just waited outside for my car because of how nasty I was treated just because someone refused to own their mistake. I was going to do a google review but the guy was nice to me prior and put air in my tire.
